How We Rank

Short version: the charts rank what’s actually selling. We add the memory Amazon doesn’t keep.

Amazon tells you what’s #1 right now. It doesn’t tell you that today’s #1 debuted three weeks ago at #47, or that last month’s champion just fell off the chart entirely. That history — movement, debuts, streaks — is what ChartBuys publishes. Here’s exactly how.

Where the data comes from

Every chart is built from Amazon’s own sales-rank data for that country and category, captured as a snapshot at the same time each week. We don’t guess, estimate, or “score” products by opinion. If it’s on the chart, it’s because Amazon’s sales data put it there.

What the symbols mean

  • ▲ / ▼ — positions gained or lost since last week’s chart
  • NEW — debuted on the chart this week
  • RE-ENTRY — returned after falling off
  • Weeks on chart — consecutive weeks ranked, the closest thing Amazon has to a track record

A product that holds Top 20 for twelve straight weeks is telling you something no five-star review can.

What we add

One thing: analysis. Each chart carries commentary written by a team with 13+ years inside the Amazon ecosystem — including years working at Amazon itself and managing growth for 30+ brands as an Amazon Ads Verified Partner agency. We know what a paid-traffic spike looks like versus genuine demand, and when a chart move means something.

What we will never do

  • Sell a chart position. No brand can pay to appear, rank higher, or stay on a chart. There is no rate card because there is no product.
  • Move a ranking for commission. Charts are compiled before affiliate links are added — the data never knows what anything pays.
  • Pretend a chart is a verdict. Bestselling is not the same as best. The chart tells you what people are buying; the commentary tells you why, and when to be skeptical.

How we make money

ChartBuys earns affiliate commissions when you buy through links on this site, at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. The commission follows the chart — never the other way around.

Corrections

Sales-rank data shifts constantly; our weekly snapshot is a photograph, not a live feed. If you spot an error in a published chart, write to us at corrections@chartbuys.com. Verified errors are corrected on the page with a note, not quietly deleted.
